Road March
It is important to show up to the field with the proper equipment. It is even more important that each ground team member be able to carry it all over long distances. Here, ground team members walk the final two kilometers that ended WINTEX IV.
Model Rocketry
Part of CAP's aerospace education program includes studying, building, and launching rockets. Each year, Fairfax Squadron has two launch activities.
National Capital Wing Patch
There are 52 Wings in CAP. Each state is considered a "Wing". However, Puerto Rico and our Nation's Capital make up the two extra wings. National Capital Wing, or NATCAP, is comprised of units within the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland. This is the patch we proudly wear.

Drill and Ceremonies
Military drill is a part of the cadet program and leadership labratory. Each cadet must demonstrate their marching skills before earning their first stripe. Many cadets compete in drill competitions.
Preparing Gear
It is essential that trainees take the time to prepare their gear for field training. Here, a new senior member re-packs his gear after a pre-deployment inspection.
Marshalling Aircraft
For those who don't wish to fly or work on ground teams, some will work in support of air operations as flightline marshallers.

Pararescue Orientation Course (PJOC)
The ultimate challenge, PJOC. Run by Air Force PJ's, PJOC is the most physically demanding special activity has to offer. Live under a parachute, eat MRE's, rappel, run, and even spend a little time in the water. Click on the patch to learn more.
